Already as a student of School for Design and Photography, Mark Fillies won the first price for taking the best picture of the capital of Slovenia. His love for photography continued while working as a freelance and press photographer. He traveled through most of Europe and North America while working as sport photographer. More than 1,000 of his photos were published in numerous major Slovene Newspapers and Magazines already before Mark was 28 years old.

Mark Fillies also participated in Slovenian movie production as a movie still Photographer and was a photographer for a major Slovenian basketball team Union Olympia. Mark‘s photography was also very valued by major Slovenian corporations (Slovene Telecom, banks, insurance companies, etc.).

Looking for more challenges Mark decided to expand his knowledge and experience in New York City. He had an opportunity to work and learn from some of the world best Photographers in editorial, fashion and advertising industry, for clients such as Vogue, GQ Magazine, New York Times, Bon Appetite magazine, Chief Executive Magazine, Tommy Hilfiger and many others.

With his new knowledge and accomplishments he returned to Europe where he established his own Photo studio and Photo lab for amateur and professional photographers.

After 9/11 devastating event he created an outstanding photo exhibition “New York New York” which reached major national media. With excellent quality Mark‘s company became a leader School photography (prom photography, school yearbook portraits, etc, etc).

Despite his business success in Europe Mark somehow lost interest to run the business so he decided to follow his true passion- CREATING IMAGES. He left for United States because he saw more challenges and opportunities for his professional, personal growth and satisfaction in corporate photography, event photography and especially wedding photography.

Each Wedding becomes personal collaboration with the couple to create stunning images Mark is known for. With his passion and dedication Mark will make sure to create astonishing images which will capture the happiness and joy of your Wedding day.
